Canada’s Chad Anheliger added to UFC Edmonton card

Chad Anheliger is going to get the chance to fight in his home province.

The UFC announced Monday that the Calgary native has been added to the upcoming Fight Night on Oct. 17 in Edmonton.

Anheliger, 39, hasn't fought since Nov. 2, 2024, when he lost to Cody Gibson at the last event held in Edmonton.

Anheliger's addition means nine Canadians will be on the card in Edmonton, which is headlined by Canada's Mike Malott taking on Joaquin Buckley in the main event.

The Edmonton event will also be the second Canadian card in 2026, following a Fight Night in Winnipeg in April.
