CIA chief meets with Zelensky in Ireland — Reuters

WASHINGTON, September 21. /TASS/. CIA chief John Ratcliffe has met with Vladimir Zelensky at Shannon Airport in Ireland, while their planes were being refueled, Reuters quoted two people familiar with the matter as saying.

The Financial Times reported this month that Ratcliffe plans to take on a more active role in negotiations to resolve the conflict in Ukraine. Head of the CIA press service Liz Lyons later denied this.

The CIA Director visited Moscow on August 25. Russian Presidential Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Ratcliffe's trip was related to contacts between the special services of the two countries.
