Hitmen to be sentenced in the Nhlalayenza Ndlovu murder case
Two self-confessed hitmen are expected to be sentenced in the Pietermaritzburg Regional Court in KwaZulu-Natal on Thursday.
Khayelihle Shabalala and Thabo Mathonsi pleaded guilty to charges of conspiracy to commit murder and the murder of DA Chief Whip Nhlalayenza Ndlovu in the uMngeni Municipality.
A ruling on the bail application of the fifth accused is expected to be made on Friday.
The case of the other two accused – Inkosi Zuma from the Nxamalala tribal authority and Thabani Hlongwa is expected to be transferred to the High Court in Pietermaritzburg.
Ndlovu was gunned down at his home in full view of his wife and children in 2023.
