Two accused in the Tibana, Gagash fraud case granted bail

Two of the four people charged with fraud related to the looting of deceased estates have been granted R60,000 bail each at the Polokwane Magistrates’ Court in Limpopo.

Rirhandzu Tibana and Jabulani Maluleke were arrested last month for allegedly benefiting from estate accounts.

The first and second accused in the case, estate attorney Charlotte Tibana and her husband, TMPD officer Peter “Gagash” Nonyane, were denied bail last month.

The four allegedly worked together to defraud about R11 million from different estate accounts that Charlotte Tibana managed.

The case has been postponed to the 6th of next month.

Magistrate Mpho Hadebe made the ruling.

“The court attaches the following conditions, that both applicants shall then report to their nearest police station every Friday before 18h00.

Accused number 3 at Letsitele and accused number 4 at Pretoria central.

This matter is postponed to 06 November 2026 for applicants to be joined with (accused) one and two and for further investigations.” Video: Bail decision for two accused in Gagash and wife fraud case – 08 October 2026
