IFP ready to work with parties that share similar views: Ntuli

SABC News Politics ·

Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP) KwaZulu-Natal Chairperson and KZN Premier Thami Ntuli says the party will work with any political party that puts the interests of the people first.

Ntuli, speaking in his capacity as IFP KZN chairperson, spoke to SABC News ahead of a meeting with Denver Hostel dwellers in Johannesburg this evening, where he joined IFP Johannesburg Mayoral candidate Mlungisi Mabaso.

The meeting is aimed at engaging residents on persistent issues affecting them and outlining the party’s plan to restore dignity to hostel communities.

He says the IFP is willing to work with parties that share similar views and put the interests of the people at the centre.

“The picture that you see in the provincial government is different from the picture that you see in certain municipalities.

Meaning that for the political parties that have similar views with the interest of the people, we’ll be able to work with (them).

But for political parties, in fact, that are demonstrating that really, they do not put the people at the centre, we will not find a reason to actually work with them.”
