Mogotsi’s testimony won’t be added to final report: Ad Hoc Committee
The majority of Members of Parliament in the Ad Hoc Committee investigating allegations of criminal infiltration, corruption and political interference in the criminal justice system have agreed that the testimony of self-proclaimed political fixer Brown Mogotsi cannot be trusted and admitted in the final report without scrutiny.
This emerged during the deliberations of the committee’s draft report and recommendations.
The deliberations started with seven members on the platform.
The composition of the committee is 11 full-time members and seven alternate members, bringing the total number to 18 members.
Patriotic Alliance (PA) MP Ashley Sauls says Mogotsi’s testimony was not reliable.
Sauls says, “I think from the perspective of us having established in the proceedings that Brown Mogotsi was not an informant.
He was not a special agent.
He was just part of the after-school youth development programme and the owner of a tavern.” VIDEO | Ad Hoc Committee deliberating on draft report:
