Nkgodisheng “Tsaka RSA” Madubanya to apply for bail

SABC News ·

Lekompo musician, Nkgodisheng Madubanya, popularly known as ”Tsaka RSA” will apply for bail at the Polokwane magistrate’s court in Limpopo.

The 27-year-old is facing charges of statutory rape, unlawful possession of a firearm and unlawful possession of ammunition, amongst others.

Madubanya was arrested on the 9th of October 2026 at his home in Rethabile Gardens in Polokwane.

During his court appearance on Tuesday at the Polokwane Magistrate’s Court, the state added two more charges, a charge of statutory rape and failure to safely store a firearm, totalling to four charges.

IN COURT TODAY | Paul Nkgodisheng Madubanya (29), famously as Tsaka RSA, appeared briefly in the Pretoria Magistrates’ Court today, where he is facing a charge of assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

It is alleged that on 2 August 2026, at approximately 03:00 am, Madubanya was performing at Propaganda Night Club in Pretoria Central when he assaulted a male complainant by allegedly hitting him several times with an empty bottle crate.

The alleged assault was stopped by the bouncers of the establishment, who escorted the parties outside.

It is further alleged that Madubanya continued assaulting the complainant outside until the complainant’s friends intervened.

The complainant later reported the matter at the Pretoria Central Police Station, where police opened a criminal case.

Following investigations by the police, Madubanya was arrested on 19 October 2026 at the Polokwane Magistrates’ Court, where he was appearing in connection with a separate matter.

The case was postponed to 27 October 2026 for Madubanya to obtain legal representation and for bail investigations. — Justice, Crime Prevention and Security (@CrimeWatch_RSA) October 20, 2026
