Ramaphosa confident ANC will improve F. State vote in 2026 LGE

The African National Congress (ANC) President, Cryil Ramaphosa says he is confident that his party in the Free State will do better in the upcoming local government elections (LGE) than the previous ones.

Ramaphosa was speaking during the party’s door-to-door campaign in Botshabelo in the Mangaung Metro municipality.

In 2021, the party managed to achieve just over 50% in the province, which is about 10% decline from 60.53% victory during the 2016 local elections.

Ramaphosa has promised residents that his party will deal their housing challenges.

With pit toilet and bucket sanitation systems being a major crisis in Botshabelo.

He said the Metro alongside the premier of the province are working on curbing the mushrooming of informal settlements in Botshabelo by providing residents with adequate housing.
