Sibiya’s bail battle continues at the Randburg Magistrate’s Court

The Randburg Magistrate’s Court in Johannesburg is expected to hand down the ruling on former Deputy National Police Commissioner Shadrack Sibiya’s bail application on Tuesday.

The court heard last week during Sibiya’s bail application that a ‘Mr M’ contacted his wife, Sizakele Dlamini, to say he’s not happy with how Sibiya is portraying him in court.

Dlamini submitted an affidavit to court to support Sibiya’s bail application.

Sibiya has been in custody since his arrest last month at a strip club in Sandton.

He faces multiple charges, including the alleged sexual grooming of a sixteen-year-old girl, rape, human trafficking and the contravention of the Firearms Control Act.

On Monday, Sibiya resigned from the South African Police Service.
